Looking for something good to read by the pool? I strongly recommend the feature topic “Traffic Measurements for Cyber Security”, published in the July 2017 issue of IEEE Communications Magazine last week.
Nine great articles
The feature topic consists of 9 high-quality papers that report on recent results in this important line of research. They describe research into the types of attack that DDoS-as-a-service providers offer, for instance, and the energy consumption of popular cryptographic algorithms.
IEEE Communications Magazine
IEEE Communications is a globally renowned magazine with a wide readership. It publishes carefully selected tutorial-style articles based on research by industry and academia. Papers are behind IEEE’s paywall, but fortunately most authors put their work online after a while, so searching Google Scholar usually gets you a long way in obtaining them.
Guest editor
I was honored to serve on the guest editor team and I’m confident many colleagues in the .nl tech community and beyond will enjoy reading the papers we selected.
